From this site you can find instructions to make a maintenance request, common practical tips and answers to frequently asked questions.

L&T will perform these works according to the contract without separate notification; checking the lamps, plowing the snow, keeping the roads sanded and mowing the lawn. In cleaning services, the work is mainly related standard- and periodic cleaning in public premises.

Our snow clearing equipment is constantly on the move and we regularly monitor the snow situation and the quality of the work.

In exceptional weather conditions, our entire winter equipment is in use and all properties are done in order.

It's worth noting that plowing and shoveling work is often done by a different person, so the work of the whole yard is also done in a different order.

When the weather cools down, the air inside the apartments can feel chilly and the radiators can feel cold.

You should check the following before ordering a maintenance:

  • If your room temperature in living room is 20-21 and in bedroom 18-20, it is normal.
  • Does the radiator feel cold? Is there a gurgling sound?
  • Windows and curtains. Are the seals okay? Avoid unnecessary ventilating. Please note that furniture or curtains must not be placed in front of the radiator or thermostat.

A clear sign of spring is the start of sand removal from asphalt areas.

Sand removal is started when; the snow in the asphalt area has melted and the night frosts have ended completely. Weather conditions regulate the start and progress of sand removal. In southern Finland, work usually starts first and in the rest of the country work progresses depending on weather conditions, typically continuing until mid-May.

Please note! Remember that the sand removal schedule is always affected by the progress of spring. If the night frost continues for a long time or the cold spell in spring hits, the sand removal may take longer depending on the situation.

In addition to weather conditions, the workflow is affected by, for example, the degree of occupancy of parking areas. Sand removal is done in several stages, so the piles of sand are removed as soon as the previous work phase has been fully completed.

 

As a rule, lawn mowing is included in all property maintenance contracts for outdoor areas. The lawn mowing season most commonly starts in May. Its initiation is influenced by the weather, which affects the growth rate of the lawn. Usually, the first mowing of the spring is only done when the grass has been allowed to grow a little length. This ensures that the grass has strong growth and looks good all summer.

After the first mowing, the grass is cut circumstance-driven. In practice, this means that the cutting is not carried out regularly, e.g. every two weeks, but when the grass has reached a certain height.

Cutting limits are defined by contract and there are regional differences as well. For example, ditches and roadsides may be cut less often than heavily used yard areas and general yards of facades.

When the sun is shining outside and the weather is warm, the temperature inside the home can also become warmer than desired.

This will help you keep your home from heating up:

  • Make sure you change the filters and also keep the grease filter on the cooker hood clean.
  • Ventilate when the air outside is as cool as possible. Avoid ventilation during the day if the temperature outside is well above the indoor temperature.
  • Closing curtains or blinds will reduce the heat in your home during the day.
